Jordanian Business Owners Receive the Order of the Crown from the King of Belgium.
This took place at a reception hosted by the Belgian Ambassador H.E Hendrik Van de Velde on Tuesday May 8th to honor these two Jordanian business owners and to connect potential companies from Jordan with counterparts in Belgium and Luxembourg. The reception was attended by officials and business representatives from Jordan, Belgium, and Luxembourg, in addition to presidents from the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
In a speech welcoming the guests, Ambassador Van de Velde said: “We are here today to honor Mr. Salfiti and Ms. Dajani for maintaining close and excellent ties with Belgian companies in their respective fields. This prestigious decoration is a token of appreciation to foreign nationals by His Majesty King Phillipe of Belgium.”
The Ambassador added: “I am also pleased to announce that there is great potential in developing business and enhancing investment between our country and Jordan as evidenced by the promising efforts made by each of Brussels Invest & Export (hub.brussels), the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX), and Export Flandern, in addition to the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Salfiti, CEO of Baker’s Choice that was established in 2004, said: “I am honored to receive this decoration, which highlights the importance of collaborating with Belgian companies to improve Jordanian Belgian businesses.” He noted that his personal experience with Puratos Group from Belgium – a company that specializes in providing innovative products in the bakery, patisserie and chocolate sectors – has helped improve the quality of his own products and became a source of new ideas and creativity as his company’s mission is to help local bakers, patisseries and chocolatiers to succeed in their businesses.”
It is noteworthy that Belgium is the sixth country in the European Union to export to Jordan. The Order of the Crown from the King of Belgium.
